For the last few weeks I have focused on gut health; last week, I outlined a cleansing protocol that is designed to help remove any build up in the colon and increase your number of daily bowel movements. Once your colon is cleansed and you have achieved two to three, soft, formed bowel movements a day, you are ready to address the parasites that are most likely residing in your body.
You may be thinking, “I don’t live in a 3rd world country; we chlorinate our water and cook our meat. I can’t have parasites.” According to the CDC*:
- More than 300,000 persons living are infected with Trypanosoma cruzi, the cause of Chagas disease.
- At least 1,000 people are hospitalized with neurocysticercosis every year.
- Each year at least 70 people, most of them children, are blinded by the parasite that causes Toxocariasis.
- More than 60 million persons are chronically infected with Toxoplasma gondii.
- Each year 1.1 million people are newly infected with Trichomonas.
Those above are mainly parasites that can cause acute, life-threatening infections. The typical American may host as many as one hundred different parasites at any given time. These parasites can include hookworms, tapeworms, roundworms, pinworms, flukes, amoebas, and various protozoans. They may live in the bowel or in other parts of the body, migrating back and forth to the colon where they can lay thousands of eggs each day. These parasites do not always cause an acute illness but, instead, create long-term, chronic effects if they are not dealt with routinely. According to Drs LeAnne and David Deardeuff, DCs,** the following ailments may be secondary symptoms of a parasitic infection:
· Allergies
· Anal itching · Anemia · Arthritis · Bloating · Blood sugar imbalances · Bruxism (grinding teeth) · Chronic fatigue · Confusion · Constipation · Degenerative muscle diseases · Depression · Diarrhea · Eczema · Endometriosis
|
· Gas (upper and lower)
· Gluten intolerance · Hypoglycemia · Hypothyroidism · Immune system impairment · Irritable bowel syndrome · Itchy skin or nose · Joint Pain · Leaky gut · Memory loss · Nervousness · Rashes · Sleep disorders · Sugar cravings · Vitamin B-12 and folic acid deficiency
|
If you have any of these symptoms and they have been resistant to treatment of any kind, a parasite cleanse may help.
So, how did you get these parasites if we live in one of the most sanitized nations in the world, you ask? The obvious ways to get parasites is by eating undercooked meats, raw fish and seafood, and unwashed vegetables. Yes, this includes and actually applies even more to organically raised vegetables. There are two reasons this is so; organic produce is grown using natural fertilizers (aka manure) which can harbor parasites, and organic vegetables and fruits haven’t been treated with pesticides. Even with the various water treatments we have in the United States, parasites still make it into tap water, so purifying your drinking water will not only filter out chemicals, but parasites as well. Anyone who has pets or works with animals most likely has parasites and should cleanse regularly. If you go camping or swim in lakes and/or rivers in the summer, you should also do a parasite cleanse every autumn. In fact, I would recommend cleansing your colon every year in the fall and follow it with a parasite cleanse. We change the oil in our cars every three months but most fail to realize our bodies need the same kinds routine maintenance.
If you have not achieved two to three well-formed bowel movements a day, continue following the colon cleansing protocol I outlined here in my last post. Once the mucoid plaque has passed, which can take anywhere from six weeks to a year or more, depending on your diet, you are ready to start the parasite cleanse using Young Living’s ParaFree.
The instructions on the bottle suggest taking four softgels, two times daily. You should do this for three weeks, then rest for seven days. This cycle needs to be repeated at least one more time, but may be repeated yet again for a total of three cycles. For maximum results, take ParaFree on an empty stomach. You may continue to take ComforTone and ICP while you do the parasite cleanse. As with ComforTone, ParaFree is not recommended for use during pregnancy. I also recommend using Young Living’s Essentialzyme with every meal at this point.
Some people find that they tend to “burp up” oils all day. I experienced this for the first cycle of ParaFree; however, I did not experience it for cycles two and three. If you find this intolerable, you may take two softgels four times a day with meals to see if this makes it more palatable. Another alternative is to use them rectally as suppositories. Obviously, you will not burp them at all this way and there is no reduction in effectiveness. Because ParaFree is so effective, there is no need to coincide the cycles with the full moon as required with other herbal, parasite-cleansing methods; and, according to Drs Deardeuff,* ParaFree effects parasites anywhere they may be in your body and at any life stage.
When you have finished the last cycle of ParaFree, congratulations! You now have a clean, well-functioning colon! That is your first step to better health and a stronger immune system! Because, according to Hippocrates:
Next week, I will discuss core supplements everyone should be taking to support a healthy body! Remember, good health is a CHOICE, and everything is better when you are healthy!*http://www.cdc.gov/parasites/npi/index.html
