Who is walking this road? Just by scanning my Facebook feed, a lot of people I know are on this road or at least starting “the walk” this new year. Some of us may be stuck on the shoulder; others may have exited this road entirely and can’t seem to find the on ramp. In case you failed to notice, this is a rural road, not an interstate with many on ramps and easy access. This tells me you have to seek this road out and you have to know where you are going or, better yet, have a map in order to find it. Walking this road is a choice. It is a lifestyle. It requires changes in thinking, changes in when and where we buy things, and changes in what we expose ourselves to. I started on this road over ten years ago. It started with buying organic foods. Then it progressed to growing our own food and changing what I was putting on my body. Around five years ago I found essential oils, and, upon researching them, found the number one company in the essential oil market, Young Living. I was initially mislead by much of what was on the internet and became fearful, using my oils sparingly and only when I, or my family, was sick. After much prayer and research, two years ago, I started using essential oils and essential-oil-infused supplements from Young Living every day. When I changed my thinking and started seeing them as tools to supplement good health, I saw drastic changes. I witnessed my family’s good health become great health!
I hate to sound like a groupie, but Young Living is a lifestyle. It is getting your oils out every day, smelling them and putting them on your body. I use mine prayerfully and ask for God’s divine intervention in my health and wellness; for Him to send these precious molecules that He created to where they are needed in my body. I anoint my children and ask Him to bless the oils to the nourishment of their cells and to carry oxygen and vital nutrients into their organs and tissues. God created our wonderful bodies and I am not ashamed to ask Him these things. He gets an earful from me on a daily basis anyway, so what does it hurt?
So, my tip of the day: get your oils out, open each bottle and smell them. If you feel the urge, apply some to the soles of your feet, over your heart, on your forehead and temples, on your neck, shoulders and brainstem, anywhere! Just get them on your body. One to two drops will do. Remember how potent they are but don’t be afraid of how potent they are. Fear is not from God! Read a little from a reputable source about each oil you use. Pray with them. Meditate with them. Use them.

*Our team of oilers called Anointing Nations made the resolution to commit daily to educating our team this year. “YL – It’s a Lifestyle” is a daily post that will be on our private Facebook group. I was asked to write weekly for this, so every Wednesday, I will focus on the YL Lifestyle and share how I live it daily with my family.
